Pick an app

Choose a running app with sound output. Chrome helpers are grouped under the main browser.

A live waveform and timer show you that audio is coming through while you capture.

Save as MP3

Encodes stereo MP3 at 192 kbps CBR with LAME. Save wherever you like via the standard macOS save panel.

Install

  1. Download the zip and open it.
  2. Drag AudioCapture into Applications (or run it from the unzipped folder).
  3. On first capture, allow System Audio Recording when macOS asks.
  4. Choose an app, start capture, then save the MP3 when you stop.
